Biography

Originally from Perth, Western Australia, Brandon Allen relocated to London in 2000.
Since arriving in the UK, he has worked with many high profile artists and groups/ensembles as a saxophonist.

He is also a session musician, working in a variety of musical settings, in the studio and remotely.

An accomplished jazz composer and arranger, writing for other artists and for his various jazz groups.

A composer of music for Film, TV and other media platforms.

His distinctive saxophone sound has been featured on film soundtracks including ‘Alfie’ (2004) and 'The Look of Love' (2013). Featured on 4 Kyle Eastwood albums and numerous other releases.

Brandon has taught privately for over 25 years and is currently a Professor of Jazz Studies at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama (London).

He has also led masterclasses at The Sydney Conservatorium (Australia), Yamaha, LIPA, LCCM, The Purcell School, Cambridge Jazz Co-op, The Highgate Jazz with Soul Festival and at various venues around the UK, Europe and Australia whilst on tour.

Regularly leading saxophone masterclasses in conjunction with D'addario Woodwinds.
