Saxophonist Brandon Allen and pianist Ross Stanley pay homage to the late great saxophonist Stan Getz.
This project focuses on Getz' collaborations with some of the great pianists in jazz.
Including Oscar Peterson, Bill Evans, Kenny Barron, Chick Corea and Jimmy Rowles.
The repetoire also includes material from Getz' time with Woody Herman, as well as further collaborations with Dizzy Gillespie, Jimmy Raney and Astrud Gilberto.
The saxophonist and pianist have been performing together for over 15 years.
Brandon Allen is a very much in demand saxophonist and composer on the London and the international jazz scene.
He is the saxophonist with the Kyle Eastwood Band, touring across the globe.
He leads his own groups BATL Quartet, The Gene Ammons Project and the Brandon Allen Sextet.
He has performed with various artists including Eric Clapton, Paloma Faith, Mark Nightingale, Omar, Gary Husband, Jools Holland, Benjamin Herman, James Torme, Liane Caroll among others.
Ross Stanley is one of the UK’s top jazz pianists – constantly in demand for his flowing creative and lyrical playing. His soloing is profoundly steeped in complex harmonic tension and release but always serves the music and is universally revered by both fellow musicians and the wider listening public alike.
Ross is also widely regarded as the UK's top hammond organist.
He has performed with top UK and international artists such as Will Vinson, Seamus Blake, Steve Arguelles, Bobby Wellins, Dennis Rollins, Jim Mullen, Hamish Stuart and Jamie Cullum.
